Dangerous Dice

DANGEROUS DICE

Supplies:
12 pieces of sturdy cardboard cut in 3x3 squares
Marker
Clear Packing Tape

Directions:
On one side of each of the 12 pieces, write a possible health hazard from tobacco use.  Example – Lung Cancer, Bad Breath, Poor Circulation, Addiction, etc.

Tel the group you have a new game that you want to introduce to them; it’s “Dangerous Dice.”  Explain that when you use tobacco products you are at high risk for having one or more of the following health issues that are associated with tobacco use.  Ask for a volunteer to roll the dice.  When the two health issues appear (example: bad breath and lung cancer) ask the student or group to explain how tobacco use is associated with that type of health risk.

You may use different dice you have made to extend the length of the presentation.  This is an excellent hands-on opportunity to educated youth about the adverse effects of tobacco products.

Feel free to modify each activity based on participant size
